Difference between D series and S series clear elastics

TPU clear elastic tape, also called mobilon tape or framilon tape. It’s a kind of garment accessory sewing on edges seam part to shape the clothes.

Now we have six series of tpu tape, but some customers have a question that why the appearance of D series is much different from that of S series.

First of all, S series clear elastics uses better raw material than D series. As you know, different raw material produces different products, which also affects the quality and feature. Therefore, radically, better raw material makes S series owns better elasticity and resilience than D series.

Secondly, it refers to the abrasive granules. To enhance the elasticity and resilience of TPU tape, we usually add abrasive granules. However, for D series, we add small granules while add thick granules for S series. Compared with small granules, thick granules makes TPU tape has better elasticity. Here comes another question: why don’t add thick abrasive granules to increase the resilience of D series? That’s the raw material makes sense.

So D series of TPU tape owns smooth appearance, while S series has good elasticity and resilience. For different application, users should choose suitable TPU tape, concerning about width, thickness, elasticity, resilience, softness and usability.
